A new career, a college education, stronger English skills, or a high school diploma can all start at San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE). Fall 2026 classes begin August 24, and enrollment remains open.
Students can explore tuition-free career and college pathways in Automotive Technology, Business and Accounting, Clothing and Textiles, Digital Media and Programming, Healthcare, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Information Technology, and Skilled and Technical Trades. SDCCE also offers High School Diploma and Equivalency preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship classes, and Emeritus courses designed to support healthy aging and lifelong learning.
SDCCE offers flexible online, in-person, and hybrid classes across seven San Diego campuses, many of which can be completed in as little as four to eight months. SDCCE’s free pathways prepare students to enter the workforce or continue their education toward a college degree, including opportunities to earn free college units through CTE Transitions Credit by Exam agreements within the San Diego Community College District.
This fall, SDCCE is expanding its career education offerings with two new Clothing and Textiles courses, Textile Product Innovator 1 and 2, which lead to a certificate, as well as new Healthcare Careers certificate programs in Optical Technician and Ophthalmic Assistant. Through hands-on instruction, the healthcare programs prepare students for entry-level careers in eye care settings, including optometry and ophthalmology offices, clinics, hospitals, and optical labs.

King, Ed.D. “Whether that means preparing for a new career or continuing toward a college degree, our students have access to free education, resources, and a community committed to helping them succeed.”
That support extends beyond the classroom. Through SDCCE Cares, students can access food assistance, housing support, transportation, mental health counseling, and other basic-needs resources. Specialized programs including CalWORKs, Rising Scholars, the Black Student Success Program (BSSP), Immigrant Student Success Program, LGBTQIA+ Student Success Program, and Veteran Services connect students with individualized resources and support at no cost.
